Getting Started with Power BI

Microsoft created Power BI, a business analytics tool that lets users visualize data and share insights throughout their company. With an interface that’s easy enough for end users to use, it offers business intelligence features and interactive visualizations that let them make their own dashboards and reports. As a component of the Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI easily integrates with other Microsoft programs and services, including SQL Server, Excel, and Azure.

Key Features of Power BI

Interactive Visualizations: To enable users to thoroughly examine data, Power BI provides a range of interactive visualization options, such as maps, bar charts, pie charts, and scatter plots, which they can customize and interact with.

Data Connectivity: Excel, SQL Server, cloud-based data sources like Azure SQL Database, and even online services like Google Analytics and Salesforce can all be connected to.

Power Query: This function lets users combine, clean, and transform data from various sources. Data can be refined and shaped by users through an easy-to-use interface.
