Introduction to the V model

The V-model is a sort of SDLC (software development life cycle) model in which the process is executed sequentially in the shape of a V. It’s also referred to as the Verification and Validation model. It is based on assigning a testing phase to each development step. The testing process is intimately related to the development of each stage. The next step begins only once the preceding phase is completed, i.e., each development activity has a testing activity. In this article, I am going discuss about phases in V-Model its pros and cons.

V-Model

The V-Model is an SDLC model that depicts the software development process systematically and visually. It is built on the concept of a “V,” with the two legs of the “V” reflecting the progression of the software development process from requirements gathering and analysis to design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
